Full Color Future Presents: “The Future of Speech”

The rules that govern the internet and the innovation economy as we know it are changing. At the same time, the voices of diverse content creators and technologists are still not fully represented in federal and local policy conversations. Full Color Future is working to change that. The Future of Speech Summit will focus on First Amendment rights, content moderation and intermediary liability.

A central focus of the conversation, includes the very complicated discussion of moderating speech and curtailing hate without unintentionally silencing diverse voices.

Tech issues are civil rights issues. Join us for a conversation about these important questions:

  • How are content creators redefining and reshaping storytelling online?
  • What is Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and how does it impact me?
  • How do issues of content moderation intersect with social and racial justice movements?
  • What are the responsibilities of platforms to mitigate affirmatively threatening and harassing speech? How can lawmakers ensure this happens?
